The Desert Inn Restaurant & Lounge

The Desert Inn Restaurant Lounge Inc.(started in
1970 by John Shaheen Sr.) was actually
conceptualized at John Shaheen's Friendly bar
on Cherry Ave. in Canton. He opened The Desert
Inn on 12th st. in 1970. John's son and daughter
-in-law rebuilt in 2006 at the current location of
204 12th st. N. W. Mark and Tina are the owners
now. Their sons Joe and Markos are also a part
of the business. Joe is a bartender days and
some nights. Markos is a chef, mostly evenings.

Not only has this restaurant been around a long
time but many of its employees have been with
them for years also. You'll find Chuck behind the
bar at night, he's been here 25+ years. Chef
Eddie who shares the kitchen with Chef Markos
has been here for 14+ years.

The Desert Inn specializes in "Family Style" and
it is run "Family Style".
