Using both graphite (line) and natural charcoal (tone) draw from models to create representational head-and-shoulders portraits; the use of other important broad media-chalks, pastels and crayons may be examined. Attention to traditional drawing fundamentals will be stressed. Please bring HB pencil, kneaded eraser, 11" x14" white Drawing paper, and a backing board to the first class. Other materials will be discussed.
