Focus on the literary products of Wilde's tumultuous public career as a dandy, poet, devoted husband and father, playwright, short story writer, novelist, critic, and convict. We will examine and discuss the many opposed themes that are crucial to understanding Wilde's works and life, particularly fantasy and reality, selfishness and love, irony and earnestness, art and crime.
