Pianist Mana Tokuno has received wide-spread acclaim for her… Show more sensitive and insightful interpretations and her brilliant virtuosity. First Prize winner of the prestigious Competition Internationalé, she also received the Leo Sirota Award for Piano Solo Performance at the Corpus Christi International Competition as well as the Special Award for Schubert Interpretation at the International Competition Valsesia Musica in Varallo, Italy. Other prizes include the Dosei-Kai Prize for Distinction in Performance, and the Silver Medal in the Chubu Chopin Competition in Nagoya, Japan.
The young cellist Emily Jane Taubl has attracted attention for her expressive playing and uncommon poise. She has been featured in the New York Times as a musician of great promise, and was called "an outstanding cellist with a bright future" by the Hartford Courant.
Having performed throughout the country, she has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Hartford Symphony, Granite State Symphony, Boston Virtuosi, New England String Ensemble, Nashua Chamber Orchestra, and Julliard Pre-College Symphony.
Marco Antonio Jordao, Tenor, was born in Salvador-Ba, Brazil. He obtained a bachelor's degree in Music at the State University of Sao Paulo. He has sung Ernesto in Don Pasquale, under direction of Enzo Dara; Ferrando in Cosi fan Tutte; Don Basilio and Don Curzio in The Marriage of Figaro; First Jew in Salome; Don Jose in La Tragedie de Carmen by Peter Brook. Concerts include Dichterliebe by Schumann; Bach cantatas, Mozart's Requiem and Liszt's Requiem; Spanisches liederspiel and Spanisches Liebeslieder by Schumann. Marco is first year Graduate Student at New England Conservatory and studies with Luretta Bybee.
