This course examines the origins, nature, and historical implications of the Impressionist movement in Paris. Through classes based on slide lectures and lively discussion, you will understand the artistic personalities of painters such as Manet, Monet, Degas, and Cézanne. It will also include a visit to the Museum of Fine Arts to discuss many of these pivotal works in person.
