Paul Chihara will discuss how writing both concert music and scores for Hollywood movies have shaped his compositional career. He will also discuss his recent song cycle AMATSU KAZE ("Winds of Heaven"), commissioned and performed by the New Juilliard Ensemble. 5pm, MIT Lewis Music Library, 14E-109. A reception will follow.
