Guest Speaker: Margaret McIndoe | Watch your Waste
Margaret McIndoe from ‘Watch your Waste’ (nothing to do with your waistline), will be talking rubbish mostly. She will give a fascinating insight into how our local councils and shires are working progressively together, and give some tips and tricks on how to attain sustainability in your business and local environment. We owe it to ourselves to come along and learn more about how we can make a difference...
Margaret has a Bachelor of Natural Resources… Show more degree and a Masters of Environmental Education. Margaret worked in National Parks as a Ranger and Senior Conservation Officer in NSW and Qld for 17 years.
The move to WA in 2011 provided an opportunity that couldn’t go to waste, so she took up the position as Regional Waste Education Coordinator for six councils in the South West.
“There’s a lot to learn about waste — and it’s not all rubbish — it’s what makes my job so interesting and exciting.”
The comments on Margaret’s second class school report sum her up well. “…She does chat (and chat)…Margaret seems to like and have good ideas for writing stories. She tends however, to go on and on. Perhaps you could help her at home with some idea of punctuation…”
Now she gets paid to talk rubbish!
Some interesting facts about Margaret are:
