Gene McCarthy's Irish Pub

A Old First Ward tradition in Buffalo, NY opened in 1963 by Eugene McCarthy and his wife Mary.

Gene and Mary are now retired and the Pub is now in the capable hands of Gerhardt Yaskow, the present owner.

The pub has been called " The most authentic Irish Pub in all of Buffalo, New York" by many. There is a tradition of feeling very welcome here. Many have called this their place for many years. McCarthy's is in the center of all the excitement for many events in the First Ward. The Shamrock Run, Old First Ward Parade and the Buffalo Riverfest.
