Agile Software Development in the Organization - In order to deal with frequent changing requirements and shortened time-to-market, nowadays software is often developed using an Agile approach. This approach enables flexible and incremental development. It also ensures to uncover and exclude any potential risks as early as possible. The retrospectives in the Agile approach help to improve the applied process continuously.
Agile requires a close cooperation with… Show more everyone participating in software development, especially the business experts, developers and project management team. Correspondence and communication structures need to be in place, next to the technical know-hows, for executing such a process. The agile value system relies on interdisciplinary teams working on complex tasks and being self-responsible. On the other hand, it also relies on continuous feedback and improvement NOT just on plan fulfilment. Successful application of Agile leads to sustainable improvement. Transitioning to Agile is respected as a movement that asks for higher social competence and the idea of a learning organization as a key success factor. Hence, a transition towards being Agile has an impact not only on project management but also on the organizational culture.
In this interactive workshop, attendees will share experience and discuss how to overcome the challenges when transitioning to Agile. The applicability in the participant’s own environment is at the core of the workshop.
