STL Radioactive Waste Pollution
The Environmental Protection Agency will hold a public meeting on January 17 to discuss radioactive waste illegally dumped in the Missouri River floodplain back in 1973.
The West Lake Landfill Superfund Site threatens the drinking water of more than 300,000 people who live in north St. Louis County as well as people living farther downstream.
The EPA is currently reconsidering its decision from 2008 to leave the radioactive waste at the site, where it currently mixing with groundwater.
