Senior Center Doughnut Day

Every Thursday at the Lakes Area Senior Center the doughnuts are made fresh by volunteers. These volunteers make approximately 150-200 dozen doughnuts weekly.

Approximately 10-12 volunteers arrive at the Senior Center each Thursday (some as early as 2:30 am!) to start making doughnuts.

The Senior Center has two doughnut machines, each of which can produce 31 dozen doughnuts per hour.

Doughnut orders are often placed in advance (recommended for large orders); but they also welcome walk-in orders.… Show more In addition to picking up orders, people may purchase a doughnut and coffee to be enjoyed right at the Senior Center.

The doughnut sales are one of the main fundraising events for the Senior Center.

Donut Helper - Volunteer openings on the donut crew. We are looking for donut frosters for Thursday mornings once a month, from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Donut box packers Thursday mornings once a month, from 5:15 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Donut machine operators for Thursday mornings once a month, from 3:30 a.m. to 7 a.m.
