Dollar Movies at Desoto Mall

For poor people like me, its a great place to see movies however food can be pricey, but that's prob cause most tickets sales actually don't go to the theater, so they make most of there money through food sales but all in all pretty good theater

The prices are awsome. But they really need to clean the place up it smells bad and there is bugs on the floor

I can take my family of 5, get a popcorn (XL is refillable) and Drink (XL is refillable) for under $20. It would cost twice that just to get in any other theater. They recently replaced the carpeting so it looks a little better. But SERIOUSLY, for a $1 or 1.50 what the heck do you expect. Make the trip, you won;t regret it!

pearl2006, I'll agree with you on the price of the food. RIDICULOUS. (Bring a large purse or something and sneak in snacks and drinks from the Dollar Tree.) But as for the quality of the movie experience...I beg to differ. I saw several movies there and in other theatres and I think that the picture definition is a little greyish in this theatre in comparison. Then again, we also have to take into consideration that the movies are usually previewed at other locations.So for a buck, ya really can't beat that.

You can't beat the price at this theater. Its .50 all day Monday's and Tuesdays. Then $1.00 all the days after that and $1.50 after 5pm. BUT don't even think about buying any food or drinks! I can't beleive their prices! It is unbelievable. It is over $3.00 for a bottle of water, over $5.00 for a soda, and over $6.00 for popcorn. They make their money back for sure. That is the only bad thing about the place. Other than that the movie experience is always good.
