The History of Privateers in Florida
John Beale, the Education and Volunteer Coordinator at the Florida Maritime Museum, will present a lecture about the history of privateers in Florida followed by a question and answer session.
Privateers have been involved with our state's history from the days of the Spanish explorers. Some were "legalized" pirates, others were members of civilian navies. Seating will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
