Young American conductor Joshua Gersen will lead the CMF Festival orchestra in a program featuring Berlioz’s Roman Carnival Overture, Schumann’s Cello Concerto in A Minor performed by Brook Speltz, and Copland’s Symphony No. 3. Gersen is currently the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation Conducting Fellow of the New World Symphony, where he serves as the assistant conductor to the symphony’s Artistic Director Michael Tilson Thomas.
