AIA Lecture Series: Don't Believe Everything You Read- Texts, Archaeology, and the Destruction of the Greek City of Corinth in 1

Wednesday, Apr 16 7:00p to 8:30p

Generations of scholars have relied heavily on ancient literary accounts of the Roman sack of Corinth in the mid-second century BC to interpret archaeological remains in the city. New Archaeological evidence offers numerous challenges to both ancient descriptions and modern interpretation and shows how many Corinthians dealt with the aftermath of this well-known ancient destruction.
