Hovenweep:New Findings-- A Prehistory Series Program
You may have visited Mesa Verde, but have you been to Hovenweep? "Hovenweep," a Ute/Paiute word that means "deserted valley."
Located in southwestern Colorado and southeastern Utah, the six units of Hovenweep National Monument are village sites with stone architecture reflecting the presence of a large population of ancestral Puebloan or Anasazi peoples.
Dr. Tom Thomas, will narrate the evening's presentation on this remarkable site, its inhabitants, and findings of their abandonment.
