Located in southwestern Colorado and southeastern Utah, the six units of Hovenweep National Monument are village sites with stone architecture reflecting the presence of a large population of ancestral Puebloan or Anasazi peoples. Dr. Tom Thomas, project manager with the National Park Service and history professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder will narrate the evenings presentation on this remarkable site, its inhabitants, and findings of their sudden abandonment in haste.
