Sustainability for Local Governments

This course provides practical examples of how to get local governments on a sustainable track by generating new models of organizational action and engaging the community. Topics will include a brief scientific overview of climate change and introductory information on developing a baseline assessment for your municipality. The course covers factors that sustainability coordinators should incorporate into operational practices, a checklist to be used for council agendas, and case studies.
