The Desert Dash Dirty Vert

Welcome to the second annual Dirty Vert! Flight linez of Bootleg Canyon and Desert Dash joined forces to bring you this unique event.  
We are very pleased to announce that at least 50% of the registration fees for this event are going to the Boulder City High School Student Success Fund.  We are already advancing money from the registrations to the school counselors so they can allocate the money to the students who might otherwise not be able to apply to college thus enabling them to not only… Show more apply but also to pay for required tests, participate in graduation ceremonies, along with many other things many of us don't or didn't ever have to worry about.  If you are planning on registering for this event, please do so sooner rather than later so those students struggling with the costs of completing and furthering their education can benefit more by focusing on succeeding and not trying to pay for stuff.
In starting waves of 50 you will race on foot to the top of Red Mountain in Bootleg Canyon( approx. 2-3 miles, depending on the route you choose)  and then zip down using the four zip lines to get back to the finish line.  There will be a marked and recommended trail to the top, but we leave it up to you to pick the path that will get you to the top.  Runners and walkers are all welcome, but the key to the fastest time will be how long it takes you to ascend on foot to the top!  
 
There are only 150 slots available, 50 each hour starting at 8AM.  30 minutes prior to each starting wave of 50 there will be a mandatory safety meeting and zip line equipment demonstration that will be held at the Bootleg Canyon gazebo. For example, if you sign up for the 8 AM starting wave you need to be ready to go and in attendance for the safety meeting that will be held at 7:30 AM at the gazebo.
If you choose to take on both the Dirty Vert and the Rhin-O course we will contact you prior to the event to co-ordinate your start times for each event.
While there is no age limit for this event, participants must weigh between 75 and 250 pounds due to requirements on the zip lines.
Finishers get a tech shirt and a custom woodle/ medal.
Our refund policy is to provide full credit for a future event if you contact us prior to the event and let us know you cannot make it.
