Graffiti6
English alt-rock outfit Graffiti6 were formed in 2008 around the talents of singer/songwriter Jamie Scott and writer/producer and DJ Tommy D. Scott, who came to prominence as the frontman for Jamie Scott & the Town, and Tommy D, who has worked with everyone from Right Said Fred to Kanye West, specialize in a heady, upbeat blend of soulful electro-pop that falls somewhere in between the Beta Band, Morcheeba, and Gnarls Barkley....

Rhett Miller
Texas native Rhett Miller is perhaps best known as the frontman of the Dallas-based alt-country band Old 97's, although he also pursued a critically acclaimed solo career during the 2000s. Friends
One of the many Scandinavian bands who took their inspiration from the Pretty Things in the mid-'60s. Little is known of this Swedish group, who released a few singles in 1965 and 1966. Their frenetic rock/R&B (sung entirely in English) was heavy on the snarling and somewhat accented vocals, accelerated tempos, and undisciplined guitar leads, and their recorded repertoire was mostly original....

Michael Kiwanuka
With his acoustic blues-folk sound and timeless soulful voice, singer/songwriter Michael Kiwanuka has been favorably compared with the likes of Curtis Mayfield, Terry Callier, and Van Morrison. Born in Muswell Hill, London in 1987, to Ugandan parents who had fled Idi Amin's regime in the '70s, he initially developed a love of rock music, in particular Radiohead and Nirvana, performing in various covers bands and temporarily studying jazz at the Royal Academy of Music and pop music at Westminster University, until an outtake recording of Otis Redding's "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay" inspired him to take a more stripped-back direction....
