Institute of Contemporary Art

For over 70 years, the Institute of Contemporary Art has been introducing to Boston and the country some of the most important artists of our time, from Pablo Picasso and Robert Rauschenberg to Andy Warhol and Cindy Sherman. This excellence in presenting contemporary art began with the ICA's inception in 1936.

The ICA is located at 100 Northern Avenue on South Boston’s waterfront, adjacent to Anthony’s Pier 4 restaurant. The location is a short walk from downtown and South Station and easily accessible by public transportation.
