New England Philharmonic Celebrates the Star Spangled Banner's Bicentennial
The New England Philharmonic, under the direction of Richard Pittman, celebrates the Star Spangled Banner's Bicentennial with Boston Premiere of Michael Gandolfi’s Chesapeake: Summer of 1814 that chronicles the events that led to the creation of the Star Spangled Banner, featuring both the Simmons College and MIT College Concert Choirs.
The evening also includes the world premiere of Bernard Hoffer’s Violin Concerto, written for and performed by NEP’s Concertmaster Danielle Maddon.
