Ameer Got His Gun Film Screening

DER is partnering with Emerson and the UN Association of Greater Boston for a multi-cultural film series! The first screening is "Ameer Got His Gun" on September 19. Nominated for an Israeli Academy Award in 2012, this film tells the story of an Arab-Israeli Muslim who volunteers to join the Israeli Defense Forces with the belief that his induction will lead to equality and a sense of belonging to the state he lives in. Naomi Levari the film’s director will do QA from Israel via Skype.
