Kneebody’s brand of jazz combines sophisticated compositions and virtuosic improvising. Saxophonist Joshua Redman named Kneebody’s 2007 album Low Electrical Worker as one of his favorite albums of the year, and in 2009, Kneebody earned a Grammy nomination for its work with Theo Bleckmann on 12 Songs of Charles Ives. The group has a dedicated base of fans in the U.S. and Europe and strives to create a unique sound that incorporates elements of many different styles.
