17th Century Dutch Painting: The Meaning Of Food
Led by guest lecturer Laura Ziman, this gallery talk will discuss questions relating to the portrayal of food in Dutch painting. Why was food so frequently the theme of Dutch painting in the "Golden Age" of Holland? We will find out what food meant to these 17th Century "foodies" and how New World foods changed the way people in Holland ate forever.
