Ten-Session Class: Wednesdays, April 3- June 5 Course Description: Focus on basic metalsmithing techniques such as sawing, piercing, surface embellishment, soldering, filing, shaping, riveting, oxidation, polishing, and basic stone setting to create several finished pieces. Course include Stick, MIG, and TIG welding; bronze casting; mold making; ceramic sculpture; live figure modeling; and jewelry making. All courses and workshops include a tour of the Museum's collections of sculpture and metals. Easily accessible by the Orange line, there is also on-street parking available. No experience necessary (except as noted); all course and workshop sizes are limited to provide a safe working environment. All tools and materials are provided.
