Painting Women: Women Artists from 1860 to 1960
Erica Hirshler, the Croll Senior Curator of American Paintings at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, lectures on how American women artists navigated society's expectations to make important roles for themselves in the arts. This is the first Polly Thayer Starr Lecture, funded by the Polly Thayer Starr Charitable Trust and in collaboration with the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and the Gardner Museum.
