Shuki": The Intimate Vessels of Sake
Wednesday, Nov 28, 2012 6:00p
Vessels Gallery
Boston,
MA
This exclusive exhibit showcases the work of twenty-four nationally and internationally known ceramic artists from the United States and Japan, as they examine the forms of sake ware, or shuki. These ceramicists are inspired by the Japanese traditions which have governed the creation of vessels for drinking and pouring sake for centuries, but for each, this is but a stepping-off point.
Curated by Lucien Koonce.
