It is easier to define Dionne Warwick by what she isn't rather than what she is. Although she grew up singing in church, she is not a gospel singer. Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan are clear influences, but she is not a jazz singer....

SHAME ON YOU DIONNE!

Rude to her audience! Only 1hr 15 min concert! Slowed Speech, Flat singing! She walked off the stage and never thanked her audience for putting up with her BAD performance! There were no Boo's but when she smarted off at a Fan that only asked why the audience had to improve their chorus of: 'what the world needs now is love...' I should have walked out after the first terribly sung song! What Dionne needs now is a Better attitude and a better singing voice!
