World AIDS Day Film Film A Ripple in the Water: Healing through Art 12 pm Saturday, December 1, 2007 Remis Auditorium A Ripple in the Water: Healing through Art produced by Eileen M. Foti and Patricia Piroh, and narrated by Charlayne Hunter-Gault (2006, 57 min.). Shot on location in South Africa, this documentary focuses on the inspiring work of grassroots artist/activist Kim Berman, whose “Paper Prayers” campaign uses papermaking and printmaking as a way to address HIV/AIDS awareness, poverty alleviation, and the empowerment of women and children throughout South Africa. Made possible by grants from Johnson & Johnson, and the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities and The Lowell Institute.
