Romancing the Pen

Bored of the same old Valentine’s Day routine? Come to the Old Idaho Penitentiary for a fun alternative to the day devoted to love. Stroll through the site and snuggle up with the your Valentine or find the true meaning of “ball and chain.” Visitors can read through our special exhibit “Romancing the Pen: ‘Love’ Stories from the Penitentiary,” about all the wrong things our inmates did for love (may not be appropriate for younger children). Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
