If you haven't heard of the Punch Brothers yet, you probably will soon. The increasingly popular band, fronted by 20 something mandolin virtuoso Chris Thile (formerly of Nickel Creek), plays a unique fusion of bluegrass, country, jazz, and classical music, with a hint of folk rock. Thile formed the band in 2006 with talented musician friends, Chris Eldridge (guitar), Noam Pikelny (banjo), Gabe Wichter (fiddle/violin), with Paul Kowert (bass) joining in 2008.
