Detroit native cellist Erik Ásgeirsson returns from Berlin with Los Angeles-born Timothy Braun to perform duos by Kodaly, Hosokawa and Martinu, and the Mendelssohn Trio in d minor with pianist Pauline Martin, CSD's Artistic Director. Timothy Braun’s “explosive charisma” (Torrence, CA Times) brings audiences to their feet. Braun and Ásgeirsson are drawing kudos as soloists and chamber musicians at major U.S. and European venues, including Beethovenfest Bonn and West German Radio.
