About the speakers:
Dr. Peter A. Lillback is the President and Professor of Historical Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He has authored books and numerous articles in the field of the Reformation and post-Reformation Era including The Binding of God, Calvin’s Role in the Development of Covenant Theology (Baker Book House, Co. 2001) and served as editor of and contributor to The Practical Calvinist: An Introduction to the Presbyterian and Reformed Heritage (Christian Focus, 2002). In 2006, George Washington’s Sacred Fire was published which represents the culmination of over 20 years of original research and scholarship on the Christian faith of George Washington. Dr. Lillback’s most recent work is titled Thy Word is Still Truth (P&R Publishing, Oct 2013) and focuses on the inerrancy of Scripture.
Dr. Lillback also serves as President of The Providence Forum, a non-profit organization committed to preserving the promoting the spirit, faith, values and worldview of America’s Founding Fathers. Dr. Lillback holds degrees from Cedarville University (B.A.), Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M.), and Westminster Theological Seminary (Ph.D.). Dr. Lillback grew up in Ohio. He lives in Wayne, Pennsylvania with his wife Debbie.
Dr. Harry L. Reeder, III is the Senior Pastor of Briarwood Presbyterian Church. He and his wife, Cindy are natives of Charlotte, North Carolina. They have three children. Reeder studied at Covenant College (B.A. in History and Bible), Westminster Theological Seminary (M.Div), and Reformed Theological Seminary (D.Min).
Dr. Reeder is devoted to leadership development, Christian Manhood Seminars, and talks using a biographical focus upon Generals Robert E. Lee, Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson, Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, George Washington Carver and Booker T. Washington. Pastor Reeder has written a book, published by Crossway called The Leadership Dynamic .
Additionally, he is devoted to the ministry of Church Revitalization hosting multiple “Embers to a Flame Conferences” both nationally and internationally each year. Pastor Reeder completed his doctoral dissertation on The Biblical Paradigm of Church Revitalization and received his Doctor of Ministry Degree from Reformed Theological Seminary, Charlotte, North Carolina (where he serves as adjunct faculty member and holds the same status at Birmingham Theological Seminary, Birmingham, Alabama) and is the author of From Embers to a Flame – How God Can Revitalize Your Church.
Dr. J. Ligon Duncan III is the Chancellor & CEO of Reformed Theological Seminary and the John E. Richards Professor of Systematic and Historical Theology. He served as Senior Minister of the historic First Presbyterian Church (1837) in Jackson, Miss. for 17 years (1996-2013). He is co-founder of Together for the Gospel, Senior Fellow of the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood (having served as both Chairman of the Board and President), and was President of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals from 2004-2012. Duncan served as the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America (2004-2005). He studied at Furman University (BA), Covenant Theological Seminary (M.Div., MA, cum laude ), and the University of Edinburgh, Scotland (Ph.D.). Duncan has edited, written, and contributed to numerous books. Ligon and his wife Anne have two teenagers and they reside in Jackson, Mississippi.
Dr. William Edgar holds the John Boyer chair of Evangelism and Culture and is professor of apologetics at Westminster Theological Seminary. Dr. Edgar is a part of numerous organizations around the world, teaches at many universities as adjunct professor, and plays piano in a jazz band that tours, also around the world.
Dr. Edgar sits on the board the Christian Renaissance Foundation. He is active in the European Leadership Forum and is the president of the Huguenot Fellowship. The primary goal of the Huguenot Fellowship is to support the seminary in Aix-en-Provence, la Faculté Jean Calvin. He is adjunct faculty for la Faculté Jean Calvin; Institut Farel, a Reformed theological seminary in Montreal, Quebec; the Baptist seminary Sembeq in Quebec; and RTS in Washington, D.C. He is also a Moderator for the Trinity Forum and a senior faculty for the Trinity Forum Academy. His publications inlude The Face of Truth: Lifting the Veil (P&R), Francis Schaeffer on the Christian Life: Counter-Cultural Spirituality (Crossway), A Transforming Vision: The Lord's Prayer as a Lens for Life (Christin Focus), Truth in All Its Glory: Commending the Reformed Faith (P&R), and Reasons of the Heart: Recovering Christian Persuasion (Baker/Hourglass)Dr. Edgar is married to Barbara Edgar. They have two children and three grandchildren.
