The New Iberians - Cajun/Zydeco
Watch out for “Pingaddamidy”! That’s the title of The New Iberians’ CD whose release they celebrate with a full-force zydeco party tonight! The New Iberians dish up dance-driven mixes of original tunes and traditional zydeco, blues, country, and rock ’n’ roll. Formed in 1998, the band is from Portland, Oregon, but takes its name from its spiritual home: Louisiana’s New Iberia, the heart of Cajun country.
8pm dance lesson with Diana Castillo (show at 8:30).
