Ethical Solidarity: A Benefit for the Network in Solidarity with the People of Guatemala

Thursday, Apr 11, 2013 6:00p

The Network in Solidarity with the People of Guatemala (NISGUA) works to build ethical international solidarity with indigenous civil and environmental rights activists. The need for ethical solidarity is critical following the recent death and kidnappings of indigenous environmental activists challenging US corporations. Jenne Ristau's talk will explore the relevant history. The film Granito: How to Nail a Dictator goes into detail about some of the genocide survivors NISGUA accompanies.
