“Vanished: Berkeley’s Lost Businesses and Institutions”
Thursday, Mar 7 1:00p
to
4:00p
Berkeley History Center
Berkeley,
CA
The exhibit explores selected businesses and institutions that highlight changes that have brought Berkeley from early farms and dairies to a center for academic and scientific achievement and freedom of expression and the arts. The exhibit centers around Hinks Department Store's ephemera, the original Haws drinking fountains invented in Berkeley, the 'hot fudge' warmer from Ozzie's Soda Fountain, a Berkeley Junior Traffic Patrol beanie, and other treasures.
