Pacific Center

The Pacific Center is an award winning, grassroots Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community center serving the East Bay and Greater Bay Area. Founded in 1973 in response to a brutal gay bashing incident in Oakland, the Pacific Center is the oldest LGBT community center in the Bay Area and the third oldest in the United States. From its roots as a safe place for the LGBT community to meet for mutual support and fellowship, the Center has grown to offer a broad array of human and health services for LGBT people of all ages and backgrounds.
