The 67th annual Lummi Stommish Water Festival runs
June 12-16, with the theme Honoring all veterans.
In 1946, Lummi's World War II veterans were returning home, so many of the WWI veterans felt it appropriate to honor and celebrate the safe return of many of our Warriors. Hence -- "STOMMISH," a Cowichan word meaning "Warrior."
