BHRFF Premiers 'Bidder 70' Feb 21st at the Pickford Film Center with Silent Auction beginning at 6:30pm. Film shows at 7 and 9 p.m. on premier night. Free admission & parking. The festival will conclude with three films the evening of March 2nd at Fairhaven College. Opening and closing dates will include silent auctions… Show more to benefit BHRFF. The festival will present 10 days of 20 powerful, inspirational and educational films that portray this year's themes on the environment, war and peace, Israel/Palestine, educational alternatives, indigenous rights and activism. Each film is followed with an audience discussion facilitated by film directors, human rights activists and/or local experts. Bellingham Human Rights Film Festival' continues to offer critical global and local human and environmental rights issues to the community along with the opportunity for broad sharing of knowledge regarding these concerns, as well as creating effective avenues for developing greater equity and justice in our own community and beyond all borders. The film festival is an effort of many long term and new volunteers each year, as well as business and community supporters. Bellingham High School, Bellingham Technical College, First Congressional Church of Bellingham, Northwest Indian College, Sehome High School and Whatcom Community College will also host films this year.
