Discover printmaking--a spontaneous process that creates a fresh and expressive image, including some effects not possible in other art forms. Learn to make a one-of-a-kind monotype print by transferring an image in water-based inks from a plexiglass plate onto paper with a handheld pin press. We'll cover techniques such as subtractive then additive (removing ink with various tools, then painting in with brushes), masking, stencils, and collage. $10 material fee payable to instructor at class.
