Concert celebrates film scores
During the weekend of the Academy Awards, the Portland Chamber Orchestra will perform scores from Oscar-nominated films. The concert will be hosted by movie music expert, Edmund Stone.
“For many people, the first classical music they heard was in Bugs Bunny cartoons,” Stone commented. “Film scores are the ‘gateway drug’ to classical music!”
