The historic Shaver Theatre is housed in the Music and Dramatic Arts Building, which is located across from the School of Music Building on Dalrymple Drive. This 450 seat theatre plays host to many of the Swine Palce, LSU Theatre and LSU School of Music performances.

In September of 2009, the beautifully restored theatre reopened following a five year $23 million renovation of the Music and Dramatic Arts Building. It now takes its place as one of the finest performance venues in the region.
The theatre entrances are located in the lobby on the first floor of the M&DA Building.
