Polk Presents: Alive, A Tribute To Pearl Jam

Polk Presents is an ongoing series of shows that feature the music of popular 90s alternative rock bands. The shows focus on the music of single albums, instead of having the typical mix of songs from different artists. Past albums that have been performed include Radiohead's Pablo Honey, Nirvana's Bleach and Ten from Pearl Jam. The band members, who are always local musicians, change along with the albums being performed, with the exception of the series creator and de facto front man, Aaron Polk. By playing entire albums in order, the shows create a more familiar flow than the randomly selected songs you might hear from other 90s alt rock cover bands. Originally, the series was intended to be nonrepeating, with each show being the only performance of the selected album. However, due to the popularity of the Pearl Jam performance, the series is branching off into a Pearl Jam tribute band called Alive. This won't interfere with Polk Presents, but will give all you Pearl Jam fans some extra chances to see some absolutely rockin live performances of all your favorite PJ songs.
