Dominick Argento found inspiration for Jonah and the Whale in sources as varied as a Swedish church painting, a medieval English poem, familiar hymns, and traditional work songs and sea shanteys, and used them to create a powerful dramatization of a familiar story. Join the Oratorio Chorale as they explore the import of Jonah and teh Whale in literature, science, art, and music. Examin a small, articulated minke whale skeleton provided my Allied Whale, College of the Atlantic.
