The Adult Literacy Office at the Barstow Branch Library is open from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesdays.
Under the direction of Steven W. Smith, the office's mission is to help local residents with reading, writing and mathematics at no cost. Other services offered include help with GED testing, basic computer skills and resume preparation.
