Morris Louis Unveiled
This exhibition features 28 paintings, drawings, and prints that illuminate largely unknown aspects of Morris Louis’s artistic practice. Highlights include a recent gift to the BMA of two paintings and numerous drawings from the Marcella Brenner Revocable Trust, the artist’s widow’s estate, and Louis’s iconic “Veil” painting Dalet Beth (1958). Related works on paper by Paul Klee, Henri Matisse, Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso, and Jackson Pollock are also included.
