Matisse's Dancers
Thursday, Jan 10 10:00a

Baltimore Museum of Art
Baltimore,
MD
Don’t miss more than 30 dance-themed prints,
drawings, and sculptures that explore Matisse’s
fascination with capturing the essence of a dancer.
Within the context of the BMA’s great Henri Matisse
collection, this intimate exhibition in the Cone Wing
focuses on a new acquisition—a series of 11 transfer
lithographs showing a dancer/acrobat gracefully
moving through a series of positions.
This exhibition is dedicated to the memory of the
artist’s grandson and BMA National Trustee Claude
Duthuit.
