ABOUT B.B. KING:
"It is this mix of supreme musicianship and audience engagement that keeps King magnetic and makes each concert an event." - Boston Globe
Riley "B.B." King has been called the "King of the Blues" and "Ambassador of the Blues," and indeed he's reigned across the decades as the genre's most recognizable and influential artist. Through the years he's remained faithful to the blues while keeping abreast of contemporary trends and deftly incorporating other genres, like jazz and pop, into his musical overview. Much like colleagues and contemporaries Buddy Guy and John Lee Hooker, B.B. King has managed to evolve with the times while still adhering to his blues roots. He makes his eagerly anticipated return to the VPAC after a sold out show in 2008.
