"What does all this mean? Simply that you’ll do less work to achieve the same speed, even in windy conditions." - BICYCLING
"We aren’t sure what mojo Profile Design has worked on the braking surface of the 24 Series, but we are reasonably certain that it involves black magic." - AeroGeeks.com
"These wheels have one speed. Fast." - SpeedTheory's Environmental Testing Project pit our TwentyFour Series wheelsets against some of the most popular wheels on the market on some of the most popular race courses in the world. Conclusion? The TwentyFour Series will get you to T2 faster.
“Either Profile Design equipped these wheels with tiny motors or they’re naturally disconcertingly quick.“Impressed” is too light a word—we were floored." - http://bit.ly/1jvM9xThttp://bit.ly/1jvM9xT
"Stopping power is fantastic with a strong initial bite and minimal fading. For [the great price], you’d be hard pressed to find a better set of race day wheels." -Triathlete.com
"Profile Design built an affordable aero wheel with the same all-carbon construction of the most expensive options. And performance on the road lives up to those lofty expectations." - 2014 Triathlete Buyer's Guide

Proprietary CFD Developed Rim Profiles
We designed, tested and revised hundreds of rim shapes to find the very nuances that affect crosswind feedback and handling. Partnering with a team of technicians specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics from golf equipment to race cars, we were able to merge their expansive CFD knowledge with our aerodynamic expertise. Manipulating width, width location, depth and conicity, we sorted through months of generated data to select the highest performing rim profiles.
Proven in the Wind Tunnel
Hundreds of hours in the tunnel, 12 rim profile candidates, 500 platform rotations and 21 data points per reading, we tested using a protocol to pit our wheels against the wind speeds actually seen on the courses our athletes race, and the roads they train on. Each of our rim shapes performed as predicted, producing results matching, if not exceeding, the tunnel performance of veteran market-leaders.
Course Modeling Predicts Fastest Wheelset
Wind tunnel tests can tell us how fast wheels are at different angles of attack – but how common are these angles in the courses most important to our athletes? Blindly applying tunnel data to the unpredictable force of Mother Nature did not add up to us. We took our tunnel data a step further, and broke down popular road and triathlon courses into thousands of segments, mapping the performance of our wheels against historical wind speeds, angles and race day conditions around the world. TwentyFour Series wheels continue to come out with distinct advantages across the yaws most commonly encountered not in a lab, but in the real world.
Rewritten Manufacturing Procedures
We combed through every detail of the manufacturing process to find the key points that affect brake performance. We designed a process machine laying the carbon brake track with a very high temperature Tg Resin before attaching to the front edge of the wheel 45° from perpendicular to the brake track. This eliminates issues often experienced in carbon wheel heat build-up, and also results in a composite structure that is stiffer and more impact resistant.
Increased Heat Tolerance
Rather than use the consistently failing attempts at reducing the temperatures produced by braking, we rejected what has become acceptable practice and instead increased the heat capacity of our materials. Our proprietary high Tg point resin is 30% higher than other “high” Tg resins. A rim that can withstand more heat leads to braking performance unseen on other carbon rims.
Proprietary Brake Pad Compound
Specifically formulated to withstand the same heat our rims can take on, our brake pad compound is exclusive for TwentyFour Series wheelsets.
